Jan Vinci featured as NEOFA Guest Artist: Thursday, March 26

NEOFA is proud to announce another upcoming Recital and Masterclass by flutist Jan Vinci, Senior Artist-in-Residence at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.

The events are scheduled for Thursday, March 26. A Masterclass featuring University of Akron students will take place at 5:30 PM, a recital by Guest Artist Jan Vinci will be at 8:00 PM. Both events will take place at the University of Akron's Guzzetta Recital Hall.

The Summer Flute Experience 2009 has been designed from all the wonderful suggestions we receive from students and faculty through the years. As you can see from the schedule, this is an exciting and busy week. On most days you will have the opportunity to choose which activities you attend. Of course, we hope that you will want to do everything that is offered.

NEOFA Guest Artist Recital and Master Class by Dr. Therese Wacker

NEOFA is proud to announce the upcoming Master Class and Recital of Dr. Therese Wacker, Professor of Flute at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The Recital is scheduled on March 11th at 8:00 PM and Master Class earlier that day from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, both events will take place at the University of Akron's Guzzetta Recital Hall.

NEOFA Flute Festival - Mary Kay Fink Masterclass and Recital

We regret to inform that Bonita Boyd will not be joining us due to a broken hip but pleased to announce that Mary Kay Fink will be joining us in her stead. She will be performing a recital with accompanist and husband Nicholas Underhill.

Mary Kay Fink joined The Cleveland Orchestra as piccoloist in 1990 and has appeared as a soloist with the orchestra on numerous occasions. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she attended UW-Madison where she studied with Robert Cole from 1979-81.
